There are dozens of weather apps for the iPhone, but most are based on traditional data from places like the National Weather Service in the US, or the Met Office in the UK. For the last few days I've been using the US $0.99 WeatherTrends360 Pro which has a completely different approach to weather information and forecasting. Rather than a standard 5 or ten day forecast, this app lets you look months or a year ahead. The forecasts work pretty much anywhere worldwide, and are based on trends, historical data from 6.4 million locations in 195 countries. I bought this app to check the weather for my wedding date next June. To my disappointment it only shows up to May 26, 2012! That's less than 11 months from today. What's the deal? It doesn't even add a day to the end each day...just always shows up to May 26. Not cool. Waste of money.

After 3 updates the automatic location function still does not work. I'm still not convinced the forecasting is all that amazing but seems close, still need some more testing. Ditch the slider, way to sensitive! Any chance for a calendar view, maybe a landscape option? I would like the maps more if I could actually see them, needs a zoom function. Overall this may offer the best future forecasting but with it's current interface it's hard to know.

I purchased ver.1.0 and have been using the app on a daily basis no matter where my travels have taken me. It's been a good travel companion. Just picked up the 1.2 version yesterday and like the new navigation features. It makes it even easier to use.

But, can be better. First off, the weather is not 100% predictable and no weather app is perfect. The forecast is not a year ahead, the Slider bar is really bad, need up and down arrow buttons to change the date or just enter a date.

This is a great app for planning trips or a vacation. I golf and used this app to plan a trip with friends in April of next year and I'm using this app to plan a trip with my family later this year. I looked at the best week in the month I am traveling and planned my trip from there. Thank you and I am looking forward to all your new future additons.

Shocked that someone gave this app a 1 star - really? There are weather apps that only tell you the current temperature for $0.99. This app's best feature is the ability to see a forecast months from now but also has global maps showing wave heights for the next week - that would be worth $0.99 but they also offer lightning strikes all over the world, 1-15 day forecasts of rain and snowfall amounts all over the world, hi/lo temperatures, hi/lo humidity, winds, presssure, UV, sunshine hours, ocean temperatures and hourly information out 7 days. So...a 1 star? Be fair...Please. I love this app and each version gets better. They seem to push an update every week so I can't wait to see v1.3! Great job 360.

This is a cool app! I have been using the WT360 site regularly to plan my international business trips. This is the only site I found that can accurately show me the weather for everywhere I travel out months in advance. And now there is an app to make my trip planning even easier!!

This is cool, finally something beyond 10 days and it's for anywhere in the world. Just was able to check the weather forecast in Hawaii for my trip in November.The global weather view maps are a neat feature, never seen that before on an app. Just realized they got short range hourly forecasts in there too, that will help with growing grapes and spraying and so on.Overall a great app for both long and short range forecasts.

I love your wt360 Pro app! I travel all over the world and it is so hard to find weather information beyond 7 to 10 days so this year-ahead informtion is very helpful. I plan to use it for vacations too. The 1-15 animated forecast maps are really neat - I've never seen so many features like lightning strikes - good to know when I'm flying, wave heights, sunshine hours, UV index, etc. Everything I would need to know about weather, anywhere in the world in the palm of my hand.
