iPhone App $3.99 Our Review By Rob Rich on June 10th, 2011 Rating: :: PARTLY CLOUDY It's more informative than the default Weather app, but Weather Pro fails to "wow" under scrutiny. Developer: Price: $3.99 Version: 2.3.1 App Reviewed on: iPhone 3GS iPhone Integration User Interface Re-use / Replay Value Weather Pro is one of many, many apps iOS users can depend on to plan their activities throughout the day/week/month. Assuming those activities can be impeded by rain, snow, wind, humidity or temperature that is. As one of many cogs in the great machine that is Meteorology, it has to do a few very specific things right in order to succeed. Well it does those things and more, but unless users fall into a fairly specific demographic it’ll probably seem like “too much for too little.” Initially it doesn’t seem all that different from the iOS standard Weather. Temperature, time, highs,

Außerdem verstecken sich innerhalb der Ordner folgende Apps*: Amazon.de (kostenlos; App Store-Link), Convertbot (1.59 €; App Store-Link), AnalyticsPro (5.49 €; App Store-Link), Delivery Status touch (3.99 €; universal; App Store-Link), Dropbox (kostenlos; universal; App Store-Link), iCabMobile (1.59 €; universal; App Store-Link), Skype (kostenlos; App Store-Link), WeatherPro (2.99 €; App Store-Link), Pastebot (2.99 €; App Store-Link), LogMeIn (23.99 €; universal; App Store-Link), OffMaps (1.59 €; universal; App Store-Link), Kik (kostenlos; App Store-Link), PayPal (kostenlos; App Store-Link), Linkie (0.79

(5.49 €; App Store-Link), The Secret of Monkey Island: Special Edition

Apple's new Holiday-themed commercial, 12 Days of Christmas, showcases a different app for each of the 12 days, some free, some for a fee.

The guy from Apple’s “There’s an App for That” series of commercials does a fine, upstanding job, don’t get me wrong. He’s a credit to his profession, in fact, and has become iconically associated with one of the most successful products ever released. But he’s seriously ruining Christmas. A new Apple ad in the series features an app-centric take on the classic “12 Days of Christmas” holiday carol, as rendered with uncompromising unmusicality by the voice that smugly informs us about everything there’s an app for. The apps don’t correspond to the actual items described in the original tune, but instead highlight various holiday-time activities. Here’s how it breaks down (all links direct to iTunes): So all told, that’s $22 for a complete holiday. Is it worth it? Probably not. Actually definitely not. Trust someone who has a whole heap of Christmas-themed apps cluttering up his iTunes library from last year,

“While the sample ad we’ve seen

In my line of work, I do quite a bit both indoors and outdoors. As such, it is crucial for me to know the weather forecast at the drop of a hat. The weather app built into the iPhone is a simple, no fluff, no garbage, weather app. It does its job well, but any weather app can give you the highs and lows for the day. Oftentimes I find myself needing to know the humidity, wind speeds, or sunrise/sunset times and other nonsensical information. Below is a roundup of weather apps for the iPhone, with features ranging from video forecasts to airport delays. Features: Video forecasts, Radar, Severe Weather Alerts, and Weather Indices This app’s user interface was by far my favorite, but at times it still felt a bit flawed. AccuWeather should have integrated typical iPhone gestures into the application as I often found myself wanting to swipe or

The app is great in giving information such as wind pressure, wind speed, expected sunlight throughout the week, highest - lowest temperature changes for the week, radar and satellite views, 7 day forecasts, as well as updates for each forecast (every 3 hrs).
It would be nice if this app were to have smooth animation effects for the sun, clouds, rain, etc., similar to the World Weather app.
Excellent forecast, difficult to read

Must have app for meteo, but should get the inspiration from yahoo weather on how to display information. White color font on light blue is not readable!
Best for Europe
No good nicknames are left :-(

Tried about six apps and tested head to head against weather this week. This was hands down winner. If you need accurate wx forecast in Europe, use this.
Awesome App!

This app has very precise and usually very correct forecasts. And I am amazed that I can find every little village here in Ukraine! Big thumbs up to the developers.
Best weather app for Europe!

This is without no question the best app for weather in Europe. It is accurate and very easy to use. Have not used in US yet, but since I live in Europe, it is very helpful.
Not good at all

This is not a good app at all!! The weather channel app is 10x better. This app will only let you zoom in on the radar to basically a state level. I want to see what is going on in my region or as close as my county. We had terriable storms this week in Dallas and the weather channel app kept me up to date min by min. I would have rather bought a starbucks coffee with the 4 bucks I wasted here!
Great Weather App!

I looked around for a while for a good weather app... This one appealed to me though, and after I purchased it it became my primary weather app. It has a wonderful interface and it's very easy to navigate with a lot of handy features to boot. The only thing is that you can zoom in on the maps, but there's not enough detail when you're zoomed all the way in on your location. I use another weather app to get a good detailed map... If you make it a bit more detailed when zoomed in, this will be my only weather app! Great job so far!
Still not that great for US

The forecast info is pretty good, but the maps have poor resolution. Also, the great lakes are missing which makes Michigan look retarded.
Greatly improved after update

Very detailed and accurate forecasts. I noticed that they have upgraded their forecasts for US after latest app upgrade. Worth the money.

Does not work well in the U.S. Can get weather in any other city then mine. I can not even get the weather for Denver, Co. U.S. Buyers beware of this app.

I did a spot check of three locations in my immediate vicinity and the current conditions and forecast were significantly off. Don't know where the data comes from but it's not the same as Yahoo.
Not so hot for US..

Picked this up based on the good review and the supposed 250,000 cities for coverage. I live in Champaign IL, home of the University of Illinois and a decent sized town. Most other weather apps have Champaign (or even Savoy, which is the smaller town I live in). From my searches, Weather Pro has Chicago and Springfield, but not other downstate cities like Bloomington and Champaign. Also radar for the US is the whole country view (no regional radar). You can zoom in, but it's not great. This product seems to be more geared to European users. Will be going back to Weather Channel or WeatherBug. Both superior to this product.
No specific use

It would be better if you had a " feels like" button it would be better. It's great have you have the climate every 3 hours. You should have weather videos and someone doing the weather. Probably off of the weather channel would be nice maybe a local weather station but no wifi connection needed.
Weather pro rocks

First of all: I have absolutely no idea what those Denver and Champaign guys where looking for, but I’ve found every single hick town in the States. Even Frederick in Kansas with a population of eleven!
