By Lisa Caplan on March 7th, 2012 A look at our four favorite apps for checking out the weather outside and the weather coming our way this spring. Whether you chalk it up to climate change or not, it’s been one heck of a strange winter. Now it’s March, notorious for its leonine bitter entry and mild sheepish departure. With everything else turned on its head, who knows what’s in store as we make our annual seasonal transition. We've reviewed plenty of weather apps for the iPad on TUAW. Matter of fact I think the high number of weather apps we've reviewed is due to the fact that we're still looking for the perfect iPad weather app. Weather Live isn't that app. It's good, just not the holy grail. First the good. I like Weather Live because it does have beautiful backgrounds (see gallery below) and makes it easy to navigate between cities (just swipe right or left). The app's brightness control is unique. Instead of a slider, you can just drag your finger up or down the screen

Developer: Price: $0.99 Version Reviewed: 1.0 Device Reviewed On: iPhone 4 iPhone Integration Rating: User Interface Rating: Re-use Value Rating: Overall Rating: Despite a keen interest in the weather, I’ve never really found a weather app that matches all my needs. That is until Weather Live came along and surprised me. To say that Weather Live contains all the pertinent information anyone could want from a weather app would be entirely correct. There’s only actually one feature I’d have quite liked to have seen and I’m not entirely sure how possible it’d be: the ability to see what the weather was like on the same day last year. That’s a minor point though
