Two New Updates and Price Drops – 'Frogatto' and 'The Hero'
Mini_discussion_bubble Touch Arcade - Posted Mon, 09 Aug 2010 04:23:05 UTC +00:00
is an open source platforming game available on the Mac/PC that was released to the App Store last month. We took a close look at the game when it came out, and though our impressions were mostly positive a couple of issues stuck out in an otherwise excellent retro-styled platformer, most notably the somewhat finicky controls and a lack of a save state when exiting the game. Both of these issues have been resolved in a new update, and Frogatto now features much tighter controls (especially when navigating underwater portions) and the game saves right where you left off when interrupted. In addition, other tweaks and optimizations have been included, as detailed in the update notes: If any of these issues have held you back in purchasing Frogatto before, now is the time to grab the game as not only have these problems been addressed in this update but the game Read More

The Hero Review: Get A Full Heaping of iPhone Gaming Badass-ery!

This game started out well below my radars but since the first time I played it, it shot right up to must have iPhone game. The previews started out cool, but there wasn’t really any indication of what the game will be. The Hero is a combination of great controls, graphics and a delightful and ridiculously funny storyline. This game is in a totally whole new class for Chillingo delivered by Traplight Games. Presentation I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: The Incredibles by Disney/Pixar. The main character looks undeniably like Mr Incredible and I doubt Traplight would even deny it. The overall ambiance of the game though reminds me of Watchmen. I liked both movies and they make for a killer combination. Now strictly talking about graphics, animation and sounds, this game is in a league of its own. The overall presentation, design (from the levels to the Read More

Have you ever thought how great it would be to have super-powers? But, as they say, “with great power comes great responsibility”. So it’s time to get off your *** and go get those bad guys. With Chillingo’s recent release, The Hero, follow the daily life of the flying and punching hunk of a superhero. Goofy police chief and busty reporter included! Feel free to discuss this review of The Hero in our forums. The Hero is an original Action game. Take control of a superhero called (you guessed it) – Mr. Superhero and fight the evil Dr. Hubbub and his minions – including soldiers, zombies, aliens in ufo’s, robots, tanks and more! And at the end of the day you might even get a kiss from the lovely Miss Rose. Playing The Hero is quite a different experience. For some reason, it reminded me a lot of  MiniSquadron (TMA Review) Read More

The Hero is a small game which focuses on a superhero who starts his career in saving the world one city at a time. The game is controlled by a single onscreen joystick for movement and digital buttons used to activate various powers unlocked during the career. The game starts with our hero deployed to a small city trying to stop criminals and knock bombs of nearby buildings. The goal of the game is to destroy all threats while maintaining favor with the local citizens. This is done by not destroying things accidentally and giving as many citizens high fives as possible. All of this must be done while fighting crime. As players progress through the game, new powers and enemies will be introduced and it becomes harder to hold favor with the local citizens. The game itself has a beautiful art style. Cities and people look great and really give Read More

Published: March 11, 2010 Comment         Is it a bird? Is it a plane? no, it’s an iPhone playing chillingo’s new superhero actioner. The superhero game has never faired too well in video games. Sure there are some standouts throughout the years, mainly with Batman. But give the hero super powers, such as flight, and for some reason things take a turn for the worse. It’s strange really, I mean on paper it should work, but a look back at Superman 64 is evidence to the contrary. Step up Chillingo then, with their latest title the Hero - created by Traplight Games - a side scrolling action game that puts you in the boots of a super hero and take flight to rid the world of evil. You are presented each level with a large scrolling metropolis which you can explore at will. Each one getting larger and more detailed Read More
'The Hero' Lands in App Store
Mini_discussion_bubble Touch Arcade - Posted Tue, 09 Mar 2010 14:30:15 UTC +00:00
Chillingo's The Hero launched into the App Store on Monday. We briefly previewed the game back in February. The game is beautifully illustrated and animated super hero game. You control your hero by using a virtual joystick in the bottom right corner, and can speed up by mashing the on-screen button on the bottom right corner. The controls work well enough, although making precise movements can be challenging as you can't just stop in mid-air and turn around, your hero has to go through his whole turning around animation before you can go the other way. Here's our hands on video: First impressions from our forums seem positive, and we'll take a closer look in the near future.   #11   Today, 01:14 PM Junior Member iPhone 4, iOS 5.x Join Date: Jan 2012 Posts: 7   #12   Yesterday, 09:09 PM Member iPhone 4, OS 4.x Join Date: Sep 2011 Read More

Tutto questo dovremo utilizzarlo per combattere le forze nemiche come: Aerei, Alieni, meteoriti, banditi e tanto altro ancora.
