After what was a pretty lackluster last couple of days for free games, today we have three good ones for you to check out by developers Trivial Technology, Broken Kings, and Donut Games. ($.99 -> Free): A challenging card game where you must simply be the first person to play all of the cards from your payoff pile, which is a lot easier said than done. If you are a diehard Spite and Maluce player, don't buy this version. You can't place cards from your hand on your own pile, your opponent's pile, (that's what spite and malice is all about), and there should be four piles in the center, not three.

I love and adore this game, but PLEASE fix the bugs, and have the computer play strategically so it's not so easy to win. I would pay $10.00 for it if it was fixed!

Review: spite & malace is one of the most fun card games ever. This version does a good job of getting all the necessary cards on the screen. Overall polish is somewhat lacking, but I trust the dev will be working on that. Plus, it's the 1st & only s&m game on iPhone!
Requests:
- more rule options, we usually have one center pile per player and you can't stack discards until you've started all 4 discard piles. Things like that would be nice.
- multiplayer, a pass-and-play option would be awesome! Then I could play with grandma!
- 2-4 player option (and subsequent starting-stack options for longer or shorter games)

I love this game and it works well and reminds me of my college days. However, it's easy to win when the computer uses no strategy. It never holds back playing cards even if it sets you up to play yours. And this is at the most difficult level.

This game is rigged. I love this game when playing with people but it is not fun playing againsy this computer. It seems to me the game is rigged and it knows everyones cards.

I'm surprised no one has really mentioned the bugs in this game. There is a card placement bug where after you place your card, it occasionally will float or snap to another random location on the board. This makes it difficult because it doesn't correct itself until the entire stack is gone. It makes it appear you have a card you don't actually have available or it covers the next available card. Very annoying.
However I play this game every day. Ask for different backgrounds and deck choices please and fix the bugs.

I played spite and malice with my dad for many years, I was addicted to it. Now I can play anytime I want. Well done app, not overly fancified, just a kick butt card game. I can't complain, but if I had to gripe about something, it's that I'm not a huge fan of the drag and drop playing, would rather have point to point placement of the cards, but trust me, that is not a big deal. Keep it up programmers!

I played Pocket Bo on my Treo all the time. I missed it when I got my iPhone. I am glad someone came out with it for the iPhone. I wish there was an undo button. Sometimes I am moving my card down to my stacks and it will go on a pile that I didn't intend for it to go to. Also would be nice to be able to change the background.

I play this game every day. It is ridiculously addictive. My only wish is that the computer opponent had a higher degree of difficulty, as I find that I beat it about 3/4 of the time.

Except that I'd really enjoy it if you could easily return to. Phonecall and monitor the time when on hold. Contrary to the opinions of the other reviewers, the game is fun!

I agree that the computer is not as spiteful as it could be. Better strategy on it's part would make it more challenging. I have enjoyed skip go for years and wonder about the fourth build pile.

Contrary to the previous reviewer I actually did lose a couple of times in the hard mode...ive yet to beat it on hard...what might be great are some sounds ...little bits of music and bells...and the background is so bland..the card playing is fine but it needs a personality. Maybe a timed mode might make it more exciting. Overall I was hoping this game would come out...it's not great ...but has potential!

Fun game. A stripped down version of Skipbo, and good on the run. My only complaint is that there are constant freezes. Please fix this and I'll update review to 5 stars.
