Pocket God kicks off the holiday season with a cool new ice island! There, the pygmies can chill out in the igloo where they can cook their fish. However, the igloo has limited room. See what happens when it gets overcrowded. In the distance is an innocent-looking iceberg, but you've heard the saying "tip of the iceberg" right? Flick a pygmy (by dragging your finger up through a pygmy) to the iceberg and you'll find out its a giant ice monster...and he's angry! Defeat the ice monster with your ultimate weapon, pygmies. Flick them at the monster and they become pygmy bombs...plus they can give the monster indigestion. Figure out when the ice monster is vulnerable, stop it from recharging when it dips into the water and bring him down in as few pygmies as you can! There is even a way to use the igloo in the monster battle.
Also included with this update is the new location map where you can get your bearings in the growing world of Pocket God.
Celebrate the holidays and the 29th episode of the ORIGINAL hit, Pocket God, by purchasing our holiday Skin Pack! This pack gives all the locations a festive feel with christmas decorations, wrapped gifts, colorful toys and more. Also, for everyone who already has the T-Rex skin pack, give the T-Rex a Santa hat!

By Rob Rich on February 3rd, 2012 Bolt Creative unleashes a Pocket God Apocalypse. Pocket God is still going strong, blasting right through update number forty-three (43!). The newest episode, “Killing Time,” deals with the kind of stuff that turned Michael J. Fox, Christopher Lloyd, Deloreans and use of the word “paradox” into national phenomena. In other words, it has to do with futzing around with time. Like time, time. Not wasting a few minutes at the bus stop, time. Players will be able to visit the new Apocalypse Island, home of a multi-roomed temple that includes a time-shifting chamber. It also houses a creepy Aztec calendar that’s counting down to 11:11am, December 21st, 2012. This is just the first of many apocalypse-themed updates, according to Bolt. Each of the temple’s many rooms features some sort of Armageddon-like power, each to be opened with future updates, but at the moment no

By Rob LeFebvre on December 19th, 2011 Unleashing even more death and fury on the little Pygmies in Bolt Creative's Pocket God. Pocket God continues to build on its phenomenal success with update after update, giving players a ton of content for very litte outlay. Developer Dave Castlenuevo and the gang at Bolt Creative continue to spearhead efforts to release frequent episodic updates. The last one was in October of this year. Episode 42, entitled Bone Soup, unlocks the powers of the underwater pyramid, itself released back in October with Episode 41: I Sting the Body Electric. The new pyramid powers include the elements of fire, ice, oil, and acid, and air, allowing players to unleash them upon the poor Pygmies to comedic and fatal effect. Check out the video below to see how this will play out: But wait, there’s more! In addition to a new Candyland skin pack that

Talk about supporting existing customers. Bolt Creative released 41st (yes that’s forty-first) update to its super-popular Pocket God game. The new episode titled “I Sting the Body Electric” doesn’t just add new level, but also comes with iOS 5 support, including asynchronous turn-based gaming and iCloud storage. The new update introduces a new coral reef location on the ocean floor, which is infested with deadly jellyfish. Your goal, as you can imagine, is to feed your pygmies to the electrified jellyfish or make a circle out of them to trap pygmies in a fence of wet, squishy death. An “Underwater World” skin pack is also available through in-app purchase that changes the Pocket God island’s volcano into a whale, as well as change the island’s boulder into a giant puffer fish. We’ve nothing but the words of praise for Bolt Creative. That’s the way to keep your customers happy, while also

That's less than 2.5c per update! That tiny little 99c purchase of Pocket God way back in 2009 has gone a heck of a long way with updates coming in fast. It’s meant that owners of Pocket God have always had something to go back to in the game and something new to discover. Now 2 years after its initial release, Bolt Creative has announced the release of the game’s 40th update offering some astounding value. Impressive stuff for such a simple yet compelling title. The 40th update, titled Battle of the Gods, promises to be the largest content expansion to date for the game. While the previous update introduced God Idols and God Island to the game world, this new episode allows players to use up to four of the aforementioned idols in a showdown against one of 40 gods on God Island. Each God Idol promises different attacks and

Bolt Creative has announced that it's planning to release its 40th content update for the popular Pocket God app, which will feature a mechanic where players can collect idols and battle them against gods, with more idols and gods in future updates to come. The update also includes a "Mafia skin pack" for in-app purchase, which will cosmetically change some of the game's graphics to be Mafia-related. But what's in the pack isn't quite as amazing as the fact that it's number 40. Nowadays, free-to-play games and in-app purchases are almost commonplace, but back when Pocket God started a few years ago, that definitely wasn't the case. Pocket God and a number of other titles have really paved the way on this model, where gamers can download a game for free or cheap, and then enjoy a steady stream of content updates from the developers, along with solid in-app purchases. Pocket God [99¢] is an App Store phenomenon that just doesn't stop. Originally released all the way back in January of 2009, Pocket God has now seen it's 40th major content update, which basically blows away every other iOS game imaginable when it comes to updates. Looking back on it, if you flipped out a buck on the game back when it was first released, how far that dollar has gone is just incredible. Similarly, the amount of content included in Pocket God now is just nuts, to the point that I don't really even know where you'd start if you just downloaded it today. The latest update, entitled "Battle of the Gods plays off the previous update where players collected idols. These idols are now used for what amounts to almost rock paper scissors Pokemon-style battles with your pygmies. You can get a look at how this all works in

At WWDC this year, I sat down with Dave Castelnuovo from Bolt Creative to talk about what’s upcoming in the various entries in the Pocket God series. We’ve always been fans of Pocket God [99¢] around TouchArcade, but admittedly hadn’t quite stayed up to date with the series as of late. After Dave showed me some of the recent new features added into the games, I was really surprised by just how much they’ve evolved since I’ve been on Pocket God hiatus. The biggest bit of news is that the previously iPad-only Pocket God: Journey To Uranus [99¢] is now a universal app and is currently on sale for 99¢, down from $4.99. This version of Pocket God lets you take your pygmies into space to various planets, each with their own unique features. You can also discover mini-games which are based on classic arcade games, like Bump ‘n’ Jump, Joust,

Last Summer, we were treated to a fun and unique title called Plunderland [$2.99] by developer Johnny Two Shoes. Plunderland is a side-scrolling game that lets you control a ship full of pirates as you battle enemies on the open seas and pillage unfortunate island inhabitants. There's elements of Pocket God [99¢] in how you can manipulate characters and environments, and combat is similar to artillery games where you set the trajectory of your cannon fire to take out enemy ships and sea creatures. This is all topped off with incredibly charming graphics and sound. We really liked Plunderland when we reviewed it last July, and in the months following release the game was updated with new modes, Game Center integration, universal iPad support, and many tweaks that ironed out all of the issues we originally had with the game in regards to finicky controls and camera zooming.Things have been pretty

You know Pocket God [$.99], right? On the smaller Apple handhelds, it’s a game defined by the updates it has and still receives on a frequent basis. That tradition is continuing on in the iPad version [$4.99], as the next update is poised to add yet another mini-game set on a brand new planet to explore, Mercury, “a highly technological world where the civilization is obsessed with all things fast.” So, what’s the game? Great. Glad you asked. It’s called “Hover Jump,” and Bolt tells us it’s something like a take on Data East’s Bump and Jump. In Hover Jump, you’ll control a hover car-equipped pygmy tasked with navigating a “treacherous” road full of jumps and enemies. Jumping on enemies or over gaps eliminates threat, but the action also tasks your fuel. The not-so-subtle idea here is the push-and-pull of conservation versus action. The update should be out very soon, if

Lima Sky's Doodle Jump [99¢] is no stranger to crossovers. According to our bros over at Pocket Gamer, Lima Sky has just inked a deal with Universal Pictures to include the main character of the upcoming movie "Hop", likely as part of their somewhat inevitable Easter-themed update. Doodle Jump has become surprisingly mainstream over the years, and it has been featured in a number of places including Lady Gaga concerts, The Jimmy Fallon show, and even on the sitcom The Big Bang Theory. There aren't a lot of surprises in here -- if you've been following the App Store pretty closely over the first few years of its life, odds are that you'll know about most of these titles. But it is interesting to see them ranked. On the iPhone, Doodle Jump takes the crown as the most popular paid app of all time, with Tap Tap Revenge 3, Pocket God and Angry Birds filling out the top four. By Chris Hall on November 9th, 2010 Pocket God sees a double rainbow. Oh those poor, unfortunate Pygmies. Since January 2009, the original smash hit app, Pocket God, has received 35 updates, bringing shark infested waters, dangerous volcanoes, vicious ice geysers, death inducing ghosts, and ritualistic death to the stoic island Pygmies. Very rarely in their existence have the Pygmies been given an update that didn’t involve the death of the little island natives, but the 35th update gives them something magical to behold. A double rainbow… all the way across the sky! The new episode, titles “Double Rainbow All The Way Across The Sky,” gives you the ability to hand draw double rainbows that the pygmies will fawn over. Instead of just using their loving eyes, the pygmies can now talk, saying things like “full on,” “what does this mean!?” and more. Their oogling looks of bewilderment have also been

Pocket God is still rolling along. It was one of the first big original iPhone games out there, and more than any other title on the App Store, Bolt Creative has been able to both keep the app popular with constant updates and content additions, and even license the app elsewhere in the form of comics (and presumably other media, if they can swing it). Here's another example of that -- Bolt posted this video of Steve Jobs' favorite new singer songwriter Jonathan Mann (he of the extremely awkward iPhone Antenna song played at the Apple event a while back) singing a new tune about the game and its fans' constant requests for updates and new content. The song was commissioned to show off the new Dance Pack content, which lets your little islanders boogie down for 99 cents. It's cute. We've heard this from the Doodle Jump folks as well

Following Angry Birds, we have another iPhone success story to share. The name of the game is Doodle Jump, it costs 99 cents and it has hit the 3 million paid downloads mark! That’s more than two other popular titles – Flight Control and Pocket God, and I’m sure I’m not the only one impressed with the figure. The best thing is that it comes from an independent development house (as opposed to big name publisher) – Lima Sky. In case you haven’t seen Doodle Jump, it’s an accelerometer based jumper which sees you guiding the Doodler on a “springy journey up, up, up a sheet of graph paper.” Along the way, you’ll be picking up jet packs, avoiding black holes, and blasting baddies with nose balls. With the year coming to a close, I feel confident in saying with as much authority as I can muster that 2009 has been an amazing year. Soon we will be posting the results of weeks of deliberation on what we feel were the best games, a holiday buyer's guide for people who opened an iPod touch or iPhone this Christmas, and other year-end stories highlighting the various games we feel are the "must-haves" of 2009-- But it hardly seems right to summarize the year in a few simple lists of game titles, brief synopses and links to reviews when so many remarkable games were created and events transpired that were still highly noteworthy or influential but fall outside of the rigid boundaries of "best of" listings. When the App Store first launched on July 10th, 2008, very few people, myself included, realized the full potential of a reasonably open platform

For Bolt Creative‘s nth update for their beloved app Pocket God, they’ve decided to give the pygmies a brand new ice island along with some holiday cheer… The PygChill Update! Looking at the poster above, you get to see a sneak peek of the new ice island along with the big and evil ice monster. But that’s not all, do you want to create a very Christmas-y island like this? New Island Features Besides the ice monster and the totally new ice landscape, the pygmies can actually battle against the monster and even cook in an igloo! See these pygmies are very adept to ANY season and environment Bolt throws them in. There have been a whole mess of game updates that have been released in the latest App Store refresh. I recommend checking for updates either in iTunes or on your device to see what's out there for the games you own, these happen to be my favorite three updates I downloaded tonight: Hook Champ, $1.99 (On sale from $2.99) - We were given a preview of the update earlier this month, and all the new content and features the developer teased us with are finally here. Aside from a new playable character, and another set of levels, Hook Champ also features full OpenFeint integration with achievements and the ability to compete against your friends' times in any level of the game. is also available (although obviously lacking the new content) if you haven't had the chance to give the game a try yet. French developer White Birds has created a new iPhone game called Babel Rising, which sees you in a powerful role to prevent humans from building a tower to heaven. In your mission, you’re equipped with five spells: lightning, tornado, fire from heaven, tsunami, and earthquake, and even the direct finger of God. As expected, the little humans are in constant action, doing their stuff ’round the clock like they’re in Dubai before the credit crisis. Eagle-eyed folks of PocketGamer noted similarity of Babel Rising and Pocket God, and we see where they got those – the graphics (and they say gameplay) is/are looks made in the same fashion. The only question is – can Babel Rising repeat the success of Pocket God? There’s a milestone to keep the team motivated. Anyway, the game should be released later in December, when you will be able to grab it for $1.99. Dusan has

Pocket Devil is an interactive entertainment toy. Obviously it’s directly comparable to Pocket God, the super popular classic app. Rather than interacting with “pygmies” you instead have devils, called mugat2 at your disposal. Rather than on an island you’re in hell. Overall this is just an entertainment app, and not really a game. All there is to do is to kill the devils in different ways. You can’t really review Pocket Devil without looking at Pocket God also, so at the bottom is just the verdict and video of Pocket God. Pocket Devil pales in comparison to the feature set of Pocket God which has had 28 updates. In Pocket Devil you can have six little devils on screen maximum. You fire them in from the cannon in the upper corner. There are six ways to dispose of the devils. You can just grab them and drop them in the lava

Pocket God, one of the most updated apps in the entire App Store, received an update yesterday that added the Barking Spider. You can call upon the Barking Spider by dropping one of your innocent little pygmies into the spider web and tapping until it is entirely cocooned, and if you tap even more and the cocoon will explode releasing baby spiders. You are then able to battle the Barking Spider by tossing a spear at it. The update also adds a Halloween Skin Pack via

Bolt Creative's Pocket God [App Store] has had a seemingly permanent spot on the top lists of both overall paid apps and paid games since its release nearly a year ago. As a pioneer of episodic content updates, the "Good Will Haunting" update marks the 26th addition to the original game. The free "Good Will Haunting" update introduces the Pygmy Ghost: This update also marks the beginning of a new era of in-app customization via optional downloadable content (DLC) packs. For 99¢ in the latest update you can customize the look of the T-Rex on the island with various skins, hats, and even tattoos. Pocket God’s developers, Bolt Creative, came out with an update again sometime yesterday, staying close to their update a week average. This week was the ability to create a huge tsunami to sink the island. You simply swipe your finger over the ocean a few times (exactly how you would swipe your finger over the clouds to change the weather) and the huge wave comes and wipes out the village. But that isn’t all. This takes you to an underwater area where your Oogs are still living, but holding their breath. In the bottom left corner is a statue of some kind of creature with it’s mouth open and a spear sticking out. This turned out to be a spear gun.

After fifteen consecutive weekly updates, the immensely popular iPhone app Pocket God, which took only one week to create, has shifted into new territory providing the bite size pygmy islanders with a brand new home in Episode 15. The new island environment has been something faithful followers of the game have been pushing for since the app launched back in early January. The latest game play sets the pygmies up on a new island complete with an old fashioned outhouse featuring farting sounds. Extended waiting for the turd closet causes an implosion too dumb for words. But that's the kind of humor that makes Pocket God such a hoot. Users are now given the opportunity to name each pygmy and to follow their personal stats, two upgrades included in Episode 14 that fans of game have been anxiously awaiting. Switching back to the original island and torture traps is also

Apple was expected to serve up their 1 Billionth (with a capital B) App Store download today, and lo and behold, Apple has announced that they’ve officially seen 1 billion iPhone/iPod Touch applications downloaded from their iTunes App Store! In less than a full year of existence, Apple and the iPhone have managed to make mobile applications as commonplace as an iTunes music purchase, and the App Store’s popularity continues to grow. The total tally of iPhone applications in the iPhone AppStore was estimated to be somewhere in the neighborhood of 25,000 in March 2009. And, with thousands more iPhone applications hitting the AppStore on a monthly basis, Apple’s success with their integrated mobile application delivery model will likely continue. No wonder everyone and their grandmother are trying to launch mobile application stores of their own. For the record, it took Apple six whole months to reach the 500-million milestone. From

With the App Store finally reaching 1 billion downloads, Apple has created a list of the top 20 iPhone and iPod Touch paid App Store app downloads of all-time. Surprisingly enough, iFart made it in this list. Can you believe it? Out of the 35,000+ Apps in the App Store, iFart is one of the top apps. Below is a full list of the top 20 paid apps of all-time. My favorite app would have to be Enigmo and Fieldrunners. What’s your favorite app out of this list?

By far the bast game on the app store. Worth every cent. I'd buy it for FIVE dollars. 99 cents in a no-brainer. Get this app NOW!
What happened?
Pop-a-Smurf
Version: 1.28.1
What happened to just wasting little pygmies at my pleasure? This game started out just being a bunch of ways to crush the little guys. Now it more about killing big monster things, dinosaurs, and spiders! Why don't the updates just add some funny ways to kill pygmies anymore? This game used to be lots of fun knowing that a new update was coming out that was just pygmy destroying laughs. Now it trying to be a game with a point. All I'm saying is that it was better when it was just pointless pygmy killing. So add more ways to kill pygmies...Not Big Creatures!
Frequent Updates vs. No Replay Value

EDIT: I would just like to say how great it is that Doodle Jump included a Pocket God easter egg (change your name to an Oog's name) and how Pocket God included a Doodle Jump minigame.
Also, I think it is pretty obvious that the new minigame style has greatly affected Pocket God's ratings and brought it back into the "top ten," or the very good apps. I definitely like the new style of Pocket God. It makes it more fun and it appeals to a larger audience.
AMAZING.
Pocket God is a great game. The developers earlier said they would raise the price to two dollars. However, Pocket God began to slip down the charts because of a long delay in the weekly update (caused by Apple's approval process). To keep business going, the developers did not raise the price. That (and the new update) brought the game back up. The developers have said that they are now spending more time making higher quality updates. This certainly isn't as exciting as a weekly update, but it makes a much better game.
This "game" is technically not a game. It certainly doesn't belong in amy existing genre. Because of this, it is placed in the "Entertainment" section. For all intensive purposes, I think Pocket God qualifies as a game.
This game does what the developer's description says. It allows to kill (or feed) the "Oogs" in any number of ways. A few are: flick them into a volcano, call on a Tyrannosaurus Rex to eat them, drown them, drop a boulder on them, and turn one into a vampire (who drowns the others). You can have six Oogs on one of the islands at a time. You can feed them with a fish (they catch it) or half a coconut (you crack it into halves) on their heads. You can set personal bests for knocking all of the Oogs off the island in one through. You can keep track of the top ways you kill each of the six. You can name the pygmies. You also view others top kills and personal bests online. You can chat with others about the game. There are many fun things to do in this game, but it also has a downside.
After you kill all the pygmies in all the different ways and do the best you can on records, etc., etc., you run out of things to do. The game becomes boring. You may not come back to it for a week. One thing saves it. --Updates-- Every two weeks or so, an update comes out, lets you do a few new things, and reminds that you own it.
In summary, this game has many things to do it is well worth a dollar. However, it has little replay value. Alternatively, frequent updates bring you back to the game. These updates give the game a cheap price, and bring it's review from three stars to five.
Thank you.

Pocket God used to be an original game that focused on your interaction with the islanders and being a "God". But as of the last few updates you have turned Pocket God into a bunch of poorly made mini games based off other popular games in the app store such as "doodlejump". Please go back to focusing on giving us godly powers like the earthquake, power over the weather, ect
Doesn't work

Version: 1.23
As soon as i updated it to the most recent version, it stopped working. I tap the icon, the loading screen came up, and it went back to the ipod screen. I tried resetting the ipod, and even tried turning it off completely, but it wont load. I am running it on firmware 2.2.1 secong gen ipod touch. It is not jailbroken, so it shouldnt be that there is not enough memory to run it.
Plz fix, this game was awesome!

Love pocket god but one thing I hate is that everything feels too compact. You should have some islands that have bathroom dinasour campfire and spread them out. When I play its too much on one island is fishing, campfire, dinasour, bathroom, ants. and more i just want different islands and to spread all these ideas throughout the islands. I now that you can cancel some of the ideas but it feels way to together so just please make more islands on Pocket God..... P.G RULES

Usually I just download the free apps. But I discovered this app on my friends phone so I bought it for myself. I love love love it. I mean, who doesn't wanna shoot a harpoon through your algerbra teacher? But anyways, everybodys so used to getting an update every week and now that it takes more time, all you can do is complain. So stop bein' a bunch of babies. Take it like a man (or woman, which everones tougher, but it's definetly woman). I mean how many apps of yours get updated every week?yeah, reality hurts, guys. Tough. ; (
Amazing app but needs more...

Problem

Version: 1.17
I and a couple of my friends have noticed that it is complicated to throw islanders into volcano due do the new update of the tidal wave. When trying to throw them a wave comes instead of me throwing my little dudes into a volcano. On the next update please make it so that if the volcano is turned on then you will not be able to call the tidal wave. Or some other type of way to fix this problem. Thanks a lot.
In my opinion it would be cool to be able to call in a second dino and have them fight in a future update.
All readers plz comment yes or no for each topic.
Mean/nice toggle
Elastic Jellybeans
Version: 1.15
How about a nice and mean god toggle? If your in nice god mode, flicking to change the weather would make bright clouds rain and make rainbows. Mermaids swim by. Everything becomes nice and volcano erupts chocolate. Islanders can swim. In mean god mode, it'll be like what it is now. 1 action, 2 different possibilities!

This is a great apps. It falls under the category of "Entertainment", though it could become a "Game" very easily. Here are some suggestions:
Nice update! Keep 'em coming!
Realboy007
Version: 1.13
I like the update...Thanks!
I have some ideas for Pocket God so PLEASE at least read them and consider them.
1.Weapons:"Sticks and stones may break their bones" Yep...I would like to request a option to allow clubs and rocks to apear on the island for the islanders to fight each other with AND fight invaders...(See next idea)
2.Rival Tribes:"The Invasion" Activating this feature makes a band of rival tribsmen to come to the island armed with clubs and rocks. It is your choice to let the invaders take over the island or help your islanders win by giving them weapons and fighting the invaders yourself.
I ask again for you to read and consider these ideas.
Keep it up on the updates!
Lovin This Game!
hoppy choppy billonie, soup
Version: 1.11
Dont Listen to the others on "I waited 2 Weeks for this" The update is great, its nice that you brought back the cloud moving action, And the Menu Selection is great. I have one suggestion for the magnefying glass though, If you remove the magnifying glass while the Islander is on fire, it would be cool if he stayed on fire and ran to the edge of the Island into the water, and it would be cool to pick him up while he is on fire, and smoke raising from him.
Cool

Have enemy islanders attack and you defend your islanders with lightning bolts
Make More Like a Game
Kids Doc
Version: 1.09
Pocket God is fun, but I would love to see it evolve into more of an interactive game type app. The little guys could just be living on the island as you interacted with them, maybe adding some good things you could do for them too. And if you did something nice to them, like give them food or make it rain a little, they would start praying or build a church or something. If you are too mean, they might create an idol to worship, etc.
Could be Better

I think that you should add more land so your islanders can roam more and experience more torture from us!

This is a fun game, but needs more. Create something like a box of wonders. The villagers run over to the box and something like a fist or snake hits them or terrorizes the island.

Version: 1.02
When is the next update?
Has potential but needs more!
Wyteboi101
Version: 1.0
Developers, here are some of my ideas also.
•Ways that the villagers can interact with each other and show emotions, like through thought bubbles "not just opening their mouth when picking them up"
•Bigger island and other islands that they can explore and gain things from, maybe to help them survive or to fight each other with "like being able to make spears or other things"
•Different kinds of animals or other people that they can choose to be friendly or hostile towards, they are right when they say that a lot of games are about war and fighting.
•Some other ways to kill and control them. Like storms, starvation, fire, about anything that can be used against them. I mean you are their god "good or not"
That's all I can think of right now but everyone is right! After about 30 sec this app gets old so hopefully updates are coming soon.
Best of luck guys

This game is fun but they need to add more powers to keep us interested. some powers like fire, water, and earth. Maybe even being able to upgrade the island
Needs update
Fdjfdswhhcvv
Version: 1.0
First of all it needs an info button to tell you how to use certain powers. It also needs things like fire, hail, change temperature, lightning, spawn dangerous animals, etc.
When it has that I'll give it 5 stars
Good idea
#1 App Reviewer;)
Version: 1.02
Great idea here. Can't wait for the update. Might I suggest rewarding our little islanders for good behaviour? Perhaps I don't want to be a vengeful god. Maybe a dog treat or something of the sort would be funny. Or a trip to the nearby island salon. Interaction between the islanders and me and the islander would be nice. I want him to beg for mercy, or thank me. How about wives and children for our little men? And little spears that try and poke our fingers. New things and several things that make the game exciting and fun to play would be nice. Maybe we could earn money by doing something and buy either torture devices or beds and houses for our islanders. Plus, of course, a bigger island and more islanders. Thanks.
Needs way more things to do!
The benevolent hero

First off, it is a intriguing idea. Although, it gets very boring, very fast ( like 30 seconds fast) and I could have spent my doller on a better application.
Needs work..
DJH##$%
Version: 1.0
First off I love the idea. But picking up the islander is a little bit stiff, smooth it out a little.
Next add ways to pick on the islanders! Lightning freak storms, alien attacks. Make me feel like an all powerful god, right now I feel like an evil mom. Birthing out kids only to have them meet pain..
Allow the villagers to grow, cities, homes etc, only to have start all over when there hateful god sends a hurricane there way!
I expect great things from this app!
Plz consider this review

I think this is one of the most creative apps on the market, love the concept! I know there us much to come but here is my input 1)u say are we can be a nice god or bad but there is nothing nice we are able to do, only torture mayb u can add food to give to them to b nice 2) they should b able to fight each other 3) create multiple islands because messing around with this app gets pretty boring on that small island 3) obviously lightning and rain 4) we should b able to give them a hut but at the same time b able to destroy it with lightning or hurricanes 4) add sharks if alot of good updates come i will love this, it would have great replay value. Hopefully there is gonna b tons of more updates. All in all this app has great potential!

O my pocket god!
The App Review
Version: 1.09
This game is so hilarious! Some suggestions though
When you pick up and islander, have it so you can hit other islanders with the one you are holding.
Like it says, make more natural disasters.
Some more sea creatures to eat them.
Meteorites?
Ships from afar that you can sink.
Multiple islands which have wars and you help who wins.
Have them evolve. Make huts, go fishing, build fires, stuff like that.
Make villages which you can destroy
Bigger island and girl and boy villagers.
New update is kinda cool, but the vampire should look more like a vampire. Gray skin... Also, make him bite islanders, or have it pick him up and throw. It looks bad the way he just knocks them off.
Overall great entertainment; get it!

But I hate being a weak god! I would love to strike them down with lightning. Perhaps using multi tap. Touch the clouds and a person and lightning strikes. Hey I would even like to defend them against sea monsters occasionaly. And when I kill one of them shouldn't the others get down and pray?

This was an intresting idea thought the current version lacks a lot of features. Definetly add more god-like powers but if you continue with this, it could be a top 25 app.

Good concept, but needs more features and you should be able to design islands. Maybe picking up two charecters at once? Dropping a charecter onto another charecter? Creating a lion or other animal, or making two charecters fight?
PLEASE!!! UPDATE!!!

This app would be the number 1 if u updated it! Awesome game though!!

Version: 1.10
This app serves a purpose. I bought it because of all the hype, and I have to say, for $.99, it's worth it. If it was like, $5.99, we'd have a problem, but for the amount of free updates and new creative features they're always adding on, a dollar is A FAIR AMOUNT TO PAY, so stop bitching, consumers.
That being said, yes, okay, it gets boring. If you try to play it for hours, you'll burn out on it. But the fact is, this app is not meant to be played like role playing or strategy apps. It's meant to be a five minute ego boost that's most effectively played when you're bored and stressed and feeling powerless in your own life. It serves its purpose well because it allows you to play God to a more unfortunate people than you. For the love of your god do not save them; this is about taking out frustration, not keeping them alive!! They aren't nanopets or digipets or whatever, they are an infinant disposable commonity! Kill them! Kill them!!
6 out of 10
