Mini_discussion_bubble The iPhone Blog - Posted Fri, 01 Oct 2010 18:31:53 UTC +00:00
By Rene Ritchie, Friday, Oct 1, 2010 | Apple has finally updated MobileMe Gallery to version 1.2 with support iOS 4 fast app switching, iPhone 4 and iPod touch 4 Retina Display, and made it a universal app for the iPad to boot! And, like Remote app, all it took was Chad complaining for weeks and months on the podcast to do it! (Be afraid, Keynote Remote…!) Also supported is the iOS-only ability to see friends’ galleries even if you yourself don’t have a MobileMe account. Nice. Screen shots after the break. If you’ve tried out the new, improved, MobileMe Gallery app for iPhone or iPad, let us know if you liked it. [iTunes link - thanks everyone who sent this in] Read More

Editor-in-Chief, iLounge Published: Wednesday, July 7, 2010 Category: iPod, iPhone, and iPad Gems: Apps, Games + More Welcome to a special Apple application-focused edition of iPhone + iPad Gems! Over the last two weeks, Apple has released both new and updated apps for iPhone, iPod touch, and iPad users, expanding both its growing collection of shopping tools and the capabilities of its web-based MobileMe subscription service. The four applications we look at today all depend on an active Internet connection, and include Apple Store, Find My iPhone, MobileMe Gallery and MobileMe iDisk, tools to locate Apple products and access media from wherever you may be located in the world. Our top pick is the new version of MobileMe iDisk, which has seen significant improvements for iPad and iOS 4 users in particular, but all of the applications merited at least our general recommendation. Apple updates Gallery for iPhone 4, iPad version still AWOL
Mini_discussion_bubble TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog - Posted Wed, 30 Jun 2010 20:00:00 UTC +00:00
Apple has pushed out a new version of MobileMe Gallery, a free app for people who post pictures to the MobileMe service and want to access them on their iPhone or mail them to friends. Apple says the app now has higher resolution images on an iPhone 4 when connected to a Wi-Fi network. Apple also says, with no specifics, that there are 'various bug fixes'. What's missing from all this is that iPad owners have to use the same Gallery app and scale it up, making their images look precisely like crap. You'd think that with the beautiful iPad screen Apple would support it with a universal app. Well, maybe someday. Read More

Posted 06/30/2010 at 4:28am | by J.R. Bookwalter Last week’s debut of iOS 4 and the iPhone 4 has brought with them an avalanche of App Store updates that make improvements for the latest and greatest, and on Tuesday a trio of them went live -- one new and two updates. New to the App Store is Hulu Plus, which the popular online streaming service calls “something different” than their traditional advertising-based website. Within hours of the news breaking Tuesday about the company’s new $9.99 per month offering, the universal Hulu Plus app went live on the App Store, compatible with the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Unfortunately, there’s not a whole lot you can do with the Hulu Plus app right now, aside from stream from a sampling of free content -- the service requires an invitation which you can request at the company’s website, and thus far it appears Read More

Apple updates MobileMe Gallery app
Mini_discussion_bubble TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog - Posted Thu, 01 Apr 2010 01:00:00 UTC +00:00
MobileMe has some great features, but Apple needs to stay on top of it to keep it competitive with other services. It's a bit pricey and hasn't changed all that much over the last couple of years, so new features are always worthy of notice. Fortunately, Apple made one small step for mankind by releasing an update to the MobileMe Gallery app for the iPhone and iPod touch today. Now it is easy to add your friends' MobileMe Galleries with just a couple of clicks on your touch screen. When you select "Add a Friend," the app will search your contact list and indicate which of your friends have MobileMe Galleries. Click on add from there, and it's done. Slick. It's not a big deal, but it's a nice touch, especially for a service on which updates are sparse. The update takes the app to version 1.1 and is as close Read More

Bookwalter It’s been a busy week for Apple -- between prepping for the iPad this Saturday and updating Mac OS X 10.6.3, they’ve also found the time to update a lot of smaller pieces and parts, too. One of those is the MobileMe Gallery app for the iPhone. Now updated to version 1.1, Apple’s free MobileMe Gallery app was first released back in January, providing iPhone and iPod touch users with an easy way to see photos and movies on the go, including those from their friends’ MobileMe accounts as well. The new update adds the option to add multiple friends with MobileMe galleries all at once from your contacts, as well as support for a host of new languages including Chinese, Danish, Dutch, Finnish, Italian, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Swedish. And of course, what update would complete without those “various Read More

Find My iPhone now works in Mobile Safari
Mini_discussion_bubble TUAW - The Unofficial Apple Weblog - Posted Fri, 19 Feb 2010 20:30:00 UTC +00:00
Apple's MobileMe site at me.com used to be completely useless on the iPhone or iPod touch in Mobile Safari -- you'd get a splash page telling you to set up your contacts, calendars, and mail accounts, but that was about it. No webmail access, no direct access to galleries, iDisk, or even Find My iPhone. Apple introduced standalone apps that addressed some of these shortcomings (iDisk and Gallery), but there was still no way to access Find My iPhone unless you resorted to workarounds. Things have improved somewhat with the new MobileMe page. Instead of simply admonishing you to set everything up on your Mac or PC, MobileMe now provides you with a link to instructions for setting up mail, contacts, and calendars. There's also links to download the iDisk and Gallery apps from the App Store. What's most useful about the change is you now have the ability to use Read More

By Rene Ritchie, Wednesday, Feb 3, 2010 | Every week a few of us from team TiPb, bloggers and forum crew alike, will bring you our current favorite, funnest, most useful App Store apps, WebApps, jailbreak apps, even the occasional accessory, web site, or desktop app if the mood strikes us. As long as they’re iPhone (or iPod touch, and soon… iPad!) related, they’re fair game. Confession: in all the iPad hubbub last week, Rene didn’t get around to posting everyone’s pick. Bright side, you get almost twice as many this week! So who’s on deck this double-dose and what are our picks? Find out after the break! Apple’s new MobileMe Gallery app is awesome. I really like the way it previews photos at the top (just like Apple TV) and you can easily share photos, albums or movies. Adding friend’s galleries are bonus too! Apple release free MobileMe Gallery iPhone app

Even though Apple's MobileMe Gallery is already iPhone-friendly, today they've taken it a step further with the release of a free iPhone application: MobileMe Gallery [iTunes Link]. The goal is to make it even easier to access and use their photo sharing service. With the application, you can view your own gallery (including password protected areas) but also view movies and photos that have been published by your friends. The app also remembers the photos you've looked at and will let you continue to do so even if you're offline. In my brief testing, the application was great! It was really quick to load photos and video on both Wi-Fi and 3G, and the ability to email links and view photos offline is really convenient. Just a side note, even if you just want to view friend's photos you'll still need an active MobileMe subscription. Here are a few shots of Read More

A new app was released this week by Apple for customers using its MobileMe online service. It follows in the footsteps of the previously released MobileMe iDisk utility and Apple's handy Find My iPhone. MobileMe Gallery gives users the ability to view their gallery of movies and photos from either an iPhone or an iPod Touch. After installing the app, you log in with your MobileMe username and password and you have full access to all galleries attached to your account, whether they are public or private. You can use multitouch gestures to flick left and right to move through photos, pinch to zoom, or rotate your iPhone or iPod Touch to view them in landscape mode. You can view or watch your friends' gallery photos and videos and share links to your own albums from an iPhone. An offline mode allows you to access previously viewed photos when not connected Read More
App Store Puts MobileMe Gallery on Display

Posted 01/15/2010 at 5:35am | by J.R. Bookwalter Apple has released another app to their own App Store this week with MobileMe Gallery. The only question is, “What took them so long?” It’s been more than a year and a half since MobileMe debuted (or rather, transitioned from the .Mac service), alongside iPhone OS 2.0 and the App Store itself. During that time, MobileMe customers had to use Mobile Safari to show off their gallery photos, which wasn’t always an elegant solution. That changed this week, with the debut of Apple’s own MobileMe Gallery app. Now, MobileMe subscribers can easily view their gallery photos and movies on their iPhone or iPod touch. Of course, since it’s tied so closely to the MobileMe service, a subscription is required. When the app opens for the first time it requires your MobileMe username and password in order to see the albums you’ve published there. Read More

MobileMe Gallery iPhone App Makes You Feel More Like You're Getting Your $100 Worth [IPhone Apps]
Mini_discussion_bubble Gizmodo - Posted Fri, 15 Jan 2010 00:13:21 UTC +00:00
I threw in with MobileMe because it seemed like a better deal at $60 than a Flickr Pro account, since I get all kinds of stuff plus photos. Apple continues paying dividends with its very nice MobileMe gallery app. It's akin to Apple's other MobileMe app, for iDisk, in that it lets you look at the stuff—in this case, photos—you've got stored on MobileMe, and easily share it, as well as check out what your friends have got up there too. It's fast, and with local caching, you can view photos even when you're not online, and they feel native, too, with full pinch zooming and landscape orientation. The front page is pretty slick, with a ticker of recently updated photos scrolling on top of your list of galleries. It's free, so it's a no brainer get if you're paying Apple $60, $70 or $100 a year for MobileMe, especially since Read More

by You have a MobileMe subscription and an iPhone, do you? Then you can now download a free, Apple-made app called MobileMe Gallery [iTunes link] that will let you easily browse your MobileMe photos and upload more from anywhere. You can flip through your existing photos in typical iPhone finger-gesture fashion or take new ones with your phone and upload them to the MobileMe cloud. There’s an option to send photos both new and old to friends and colleagues via e-mail, and the app views videos, too. You can also use MobileMe Gallery to browse friends’ photos; any friend you’re following will have a blue dot next to his or her name when he or she has uploaded new photos. Chances are you’re sharing your photos on Facebook, Flickr or TwitPic directly because not all your friends have Macs or iPhones, but the Gallery app could be helpful for keeping up Read More

Apple released a dedicated MobileMe iDisk app not too long ago for those of us who stubbornly continue to pay good money for a subscription, but iDisk, as the app is called, is really just a file manager and nothing more. Today, Apple unveiled another MobileMe-specific iPhone application, this one called Gallery (iTunes link). You can probably guess what it does. Gallery allows you to browse your MobileMe photo galleries, something you aren’t able to access using iDisk. The app has all the polish and intuitive UI design you’d expect from Apple, and it keeps things simple and to the point. Even if you’re an avid MobileMe Gallery user with many albums, you should have no trouble browsing through albums and finding specific photos. My problem is, as you may notice from the screenshots, I’m not really an avid user of the Gallery feature of MobileMe. In fact, I had to upload Read More

Apple lança aplicativo na App Store para sincronização de fotos com o MobileMe
Mini_discussion_bubble Blog do iPhone - Posted Thu, 14 Jan 2010 18:18:25 UTC +00:00

Leider kann Read More
