Have you played Let's Golf [99¢ / HD] or Let's Golf 2 [$4.99 / HD] yet? If you like arcade-style golf games, Gameloft has really nailed it with their clone of Hot Shots Golf. We liked the original a lot in our review, and the sequel improved upon the formula further. Gameloft released the following trailer this morning for Let's Golf 3: What am I expecting from the third installment in the series? Mostly just further improvements much like Let's Golf 2. I doubt 3 will have anything that new or amazing, but I'd be happy as a clam with some new unlockables, a new set of courses, and some new characters. As fun as EA Mobile’s Tiger Woods golf titles are, I personally am a fan of arcade style golf games over realistic ones. That’s why I’ve always enjoyed games like Hot Shots Golf and Mario Golf on the consoles, but Gameloft’s Let’s Golf has been giving the same great experience on the iPhone & Android for over a year now. Back at E3 I stepped aboard the Gameloft party bus and was given a peek at their upcoming lineup. One of those games was Let's Golf 2 [$4.99], the sequel to one of my favorite golf games on the App Store, Let's Golf [$1.99 / Free / HD]. Looking back at the review of the original, I loved that Let's Golf was the closest thing to Hot Shots Golf on the App Store, one of the only reasons I kept my PSP. Parked outside the west hall of E3 this year was a black party bus covered in Gameloft logos and graphics from their latest games. Inside they walked us through a few games that are nearing release, and a few others that are coming soon. The star of the show was Ultimate Spiderman Total Mayhem, a 3D beat 'em up obviously based in the Spider Man universe with an art style straight out of the Spider Man comic books. This freebie is the result of iTune’s 12 days of Christmas event, where a song or app can be downloaded gratis each day from Dec 26th to Jan 6th. This game has excellent gameplay. I like almost everything about it. Ive had it for 2 days and can't put it down. this is by far one of the best games i have on my touch and i have 7 pages of games. It is much better than any of the Gl Golf games because the graphics are very good and also you actually see someone standing over the ball when you swing. Needs an update though. It really needs to fix the putting because sometimes i find the greens can be inconsistant. Also they need to fix the spin because i dont find that i get alot of spin on my short irons and wedges. We should be able to buy new clubs in a proshop and new equipment. we should have to unlock it in the tournaments and then we have to buy it with money that we earned. It should also have a career mode in which we play a season of tournaments. They should also have mini-games or challenges to test our skills.

This game is basically, Hot Shots Golf for the iPhone at a mere fraction of the price! Great game if you just pick it up for 5 min or 5 hours. Has an awesome save feature that saves after every stroke! So, if you get a call in mid-swing, you can pick up right where you left off! I would like to see this save feature in other games...that's just how great it is!
So, stop reading this and buy it already! You won't regret it.

This is a very good game. I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. That said, future updates could make it a lot better. Since this is basically a clone of Hot Shots Golf (great series), it is hard not to compare the two games. For $6, you get a very decent, playable, "Lite" version of HSG that has potential to get better. That said, it has a long way to go to be on the same level as Hot Shots.

If you like HotShots you will love this game. So far it is great, no complaints. Usually I don't buy games that cost more than $3 but I thought this game looked great and it was worth every penny. A+ can't wait to see what they do with updates.
