If you can't afford the cost and don't mind ads, there's also a free version of iReddit: Search iTunes Store for "iReddit Free"

All of your favorite reddit functionality is here: view the hottest, newest, top, and most controversial stories of the moment, explore individual subreddits, vote, comment, share, and save links for later. The entire commenting system has been optimized for the iPhone app so you won't have any trouble contributing to an epic pun thread.

Save time by never having to reload the reddit homepage. You can even use handy next/previous navigation to move between websites without going back to the main list. And those sites work in portrait and widescreen modes too.

It's never been easier to be entertained. Just shake your iPhone to enter "serendipity mode" where you'll be served a random, interesting site. Pro-tip: Turn on "play sound on shake" for a special treat with every jostle -- the iPhone is an elegant phone for a more sophisticated age.

We're always trying to improve reddit and the same goes with our iPhone app. Please leave us feedback here: http://getsatisfaction.com/reddit/products/reddit_ireddit

**We're no longer supporting the first version of the app, upgrade to 2.0 -- it's much, much cooler anyway**

Populaire Reddit-app Alien Blue krijgt nieuwe look
Mini_discussion_bubble iPhoneclub.nl - Posted Thu, 19 Jan 2012 12:34:54 UTC +00:00
Daily iPhone App: Alien Blue

Here's an app that lets you browse through the popular link board Reddit. You probably don't want to see everything there is on Reddit -- just like Digg in its day and other message boards like 4chan, some of the discussion over there can get pretty wacky. But Reddit is definitely a great community of people, and if you ever want to take the temperature on what the 'net is thinking about the news of the day, browsing through Reddit's links can be very informative. There is an official Reddit app called iReddit, and it works pretty well. But Alien Blue is really the better option. I like the layout better, and it has excellent features like inline comments, Instapaper and Read It Later support, and the ability to actually post and edit your own comments on the service. The app itself is free to check out, but you can spend Read More

Review: iReddit for iPhone does social news right
Mini_discussion_bubble Ars Technica Infinite Loop - Posted Mon, 02 Mar 2009 12:34:35 UTC +00:00
Social news community Reddit is a melting pot of current events, endless memes, and obsession with the irreverent—and now it has officially come to the iPhone. Promising virtually all of the site's functionality for the iPhone and iPod touch, we had to dive in to see just how far the Reddit hole goes. Reddit's official iPhone app, iReddit (iTunes link), is not to be confused with previous entrants like "open source reddit" (iTunes link) and Satellite (iTunes link). While iReddit's $1.99 price may turn off some discerning users (who still felt the need to buy a phone that costs at least $200), a free, ad-supported version is on its way. iReddit offers access to all subreddits (basically "categories," for the uninitiated) and lets users vote, comment, share, and save links on their accounts for reading later. Upon first run, the site's legendarily quirky culture and streamlined experience are both immediately apparent, Read More

Slow and unoptimized
ADT2 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
This is a nifty concept but it's slow as molasses. Also, while the main page us optimized for the iPhone screen the actual content is not - which makes reading a pain in the rear.
Great Update
iopossum 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
Awesome update, love the new look
Fantastic App
patarbal 5.0 stars Version: 2.0
THANK YOU for the update the bugs were quite frustrating and the update is much much faster. It is nice to have my most used app work properly. This app is fantastic, I have found it incredibly frustrating to use reddit on my iphone with safari, constantly having to load the page, going back and forth between reddit and the site of interest. This app clearly up all of that, allowing you to open sites within the app, rate, and comment, all with a clean, slick interface.
Meh
Kaybeegee 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Really very frustrating since I can't get to any of my favorite reddits. When I try to import my settings it crashes every single time. Even updated my phone software. . Also, am I missing something or is impossible to see your inbox or go to your account? Maybe I'm an egomaniac, but once I comment I sort I like to see whether there are replies or upvotes. I'm back to safari. Bummer. Should never have pulled the trigger so fast. Missing many features.
Save your money.
Cargirl 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Crashes everytime I try to log in, loads slower than safari. Waste of time, waste of money.
Update still crashes
JuNicoTina22 1.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
Reddit is great, but this is my second attempt to make nice with this program. I also had the user settings issue on the previous version. I uninstalled it and waited for the new update. No joy on the update for me. I downloaded via iTunes, syncd my iPhone 3G, did a restart and viewed my first link within the program. I went to thumbs up a link and got a login screen. CRASH! What a terrible experience. Last attempt for me. Hopefully this will get fixed for anyone else unlucky to try it.
Very crashy
bdawg923 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
A great app to access Reddit and the content. Nicely designed. But it crashes frequently. Hopefully that's fixed in the next update. Edit: the crashing issue has been fixed and now it's the best Reddit app in the App Store.
Reddit > Digg
ObeyYourHalo 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I love this app - The only thing it's missing is a refresh button! Other than that, and a few crash bugs, this app is perfect! Definitely worth the money if you like the social news websites.
Got a ways to go
Draynen 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
The basic functionality is all there, but the app managed to crash twice within the first minute of bring installed on my phone. There seem to be some snags in particular surrounding logging into your account and importig your subreddit settings. I would probably wait until the first update comes along.
Almost there...
kiwimonster 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
Love the app just wish I could upvote/downvote from the front page and go straight to comments without having to view the story. Update: Knocked off another star for one major reason: 1. App crashes everytime I set the option to use my account settings. Can't stress enough that the app is greatly appreciated, looking forward to updates.
Fantastic App
patarbal 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This app is fantastic, I have found it incredibly frustrating to use reddit on my iphone with safari, constantly having to load the page, going back and forth between reddit and the site of interest.
Keeps crashing after using settings from site
vphongsa 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
Hope they fix it. Otherwise, it looks to be a great app., where Digg, Stumble, etc. are behind.
Love it
JGroz 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I used to digg but since this app came out I'm all about reddit. I don't know where all these crash issues are coming from but I've never had a crash yet. Great app
Intuitive and easy to use
tr4nslator 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
I can only imagine the amount of Red Bull needed to get an app like this working so well!
Polish at every turn, Incredible -or- [pun title here]
gray_hat 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
The quality of this Application is something that I believe many others can only aspire to approach. The people at 280 north did a great job with this.
Garbage
Craig in Sunnyvale 1.0 stars Version: 1.0
When I select "use account settings" in preferences, it causes the app to crash.
New Version: New Features and Bug Fixes
rossboucher 5.0 stars Version: 1.0.1
The just released update fixes the often reported "use account settings" crash, as well as several others. It also lets you send and receive messages on reddit, collapse comment threads, and turn off the alien if you are so inclined. If you wrote a review of a previous version, I hope you'll write another for this version. Thanks!
Great app for news and comments
BDSfan 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Very easy to use, love it!
Wow!
Mister Sweaters 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Worth the wait - there's some great features that are pleasant interactive firsts for an app in general. The UI is very friendly and intuitive, with a cool load process and ability to use the entire app in widescreen :-) very cool for 1.0!
It's Finally Here!!
maaz 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Perfect. The comment system is amazing. Love the alien animation too. Only thing I'd like to request for right now is a way to [-] a comment so I can read the ones below it. Good job Alexis & team!
Killer app for web junkies
Big Joe Vandal 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
This app is better than the real thing, but can't handle flash, crashes on occasion and is a little buggy with submitting landscape comments. Great work so far though, best news app eventhough reddit is not really news in the traditional sense. I can't stop browsing it!!!!!! Truly a killer app.
Very well done
Reviewer X+1 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Better than the real thing.
Could be great
champ2153 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
Fix all the crashing issues and this app would be one of the best out there!
Needs fixing...
Maeby Funke 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
It crashes a ton! Also it won't save my username and settings. Will be great if they could fix it.
Not Ready for Prime Time
Raymond Brigleb 2.0 stars Version: 1.0
It's great to see an official Reddit app, but this has a long way to go. Crashes on too quick taps. Ugly, uncustomizable fonts and colors. Get rid of that gimmicky foot tapping alien animation! I'm on EDGE and Really sick of it. Enter the wrong acct password and you're thrown out of the settings screen altogether! Why can't I have the default category list AND my custom one? Why can't I customize it with the app itself?? why are the settings even in the app rather than in the iPhone settings section like they're supposed to be? It's a decent start I suppose but has a long way to go to really be worth several dollars.
Everything I need to be interesting!
jedberg 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
As I sit here in line for a Las Vegas show, iReddit provides me with the information I need to be interesting at dinner. This app could be the greatest boon to social interaction since the invention of distiled alcohol.
Yowza!!!
iPhone_therefore_I_am 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Thank you Reddit!! Spend the two bucks. Well executed. Fairly stable. The Alien is a great addition. It should not look upset while a page is loading, unless there is a problem though.
Reddit + iPhone, what more could you want?
iopossum 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Reddit + iPhone, what more could you want?
Pretty good
Brad from Holly Springs 3.0 stars Version: 1.0
Fix the crash when using custom subreddits, and Ill change the rating to 5 stars.
Outstanding
theonlyreviewer 5.0 stars Version: 1.0
Worth the money. Easy to use. Intuitive. Just outstanding. The Reddit readership will go up because of the high quality of this app...and this is verson 1.0...
