Framed for iPhone turns snapshots into album covers, framed art, yearbook photos, and more. The iPhone may not have the world's best camera, but when it comes to having fun with photos, there's no better device. The App Store offers countless apps devoted to tweaking, morphing, framing, sharing, or just generally improving your snapshots. I've rounded up five I think any iPhone owner will enjoy. 1. Framed You know those novelty "Wanted" posters you can have made up at state fairs and carnivals? Framed (99 cents) lets you paste photos onto posters, milk cartons, album covers, and about 30 other nifty scenes. You can then share the results via e-mail or post them straight to Facebook. Try the free Lite version before you buy, and check out the similar freebie Photofunia as well. 2. Gorillacam This isn't so much about photo fun as it is photo convenience. Gorillacam serves up a

TravelTracker Pro keeps tabs on your entire trip, including real-time flight status. I'm winging my way to San Francisco in a couple weeks, so I've been rounding up apps that'll make my trip easier and more enjoyable. Obviously I'll stock up on e-books and movies for the flight (Wondershare's DVD Ripper Platinum is proving a great choice for copying my DVDs to my iPhone), and I've already got old standbys like Urbanspoon and Yelp for finding local grub and businesses. But there's more to a trip than just food and in-flight movies. Here's a list of the iPhone apps I've decided to pack: HearPlanet puts a tour guide in your pocket, letting you listen while you sightsee. I also recommend browsing the iTunes podcast library for anything pertaining to the city you're visiting. In short order I found all kinds of cool stuff on San Francisco, including half a dozen free

The application is really great! Before, I didn't believe that it is possible to send real postcards to my friends! Now I really can!!!!
Gets the job done, but could be much better

My main reason for choosing HazelMail is they appear to offer the best deal on the printed cards. If you buy in advance it is $1/card (including postage, in $12 lots), not bad. The app itself is the bare minimum. It does not at all feel like an iPhone app. No integration with the built in address book (though it can build up it's own adress book). Font selection is limited and crude and not much WYSIWYG. Worst, the photo manipulation tools are REALLY crude. You can expand a photo to fill the card, but it appears to be a one direction expansion, not a zoom (more like a stretch). Also there is no pan control. If you have a good well composed photo that requires no editing it works. Also, no spell checking. So far the delivery seems to be a bit slow, but I'll know more on that in a few days. If others would match the per card price I would probably go elsewhere, unless they improve the app. If they improve the app then this has real promise and utility.
Amazing!

I love this app, it's simple, quick and cost effective. You have changed the way people send postcards. I'm excited to see the next release.
My bad

Okay, my bad ... I now know what I did wrong and I do not have to pay for my first card. This app is excellent. Wish I would have had it handy on my last vacation, I could have saved the hassle of buying postcards, stamps and mailing. I only wish this app could save the postcards I sent, other than that wonderful and practical !
P.O. Boxes NOT allowed...

I wanted to send a pic to my grandparents and they "migrate", therefore need a post office box durring the summer, it just would not let me send the card... Bummer. Well, trying it out anyway, they might change it, right?!? I can only hope, I suppose.

great idea, works, but has to be improved

I waited for an application like this for a while. I think the idea is great and I tried out the application by sending a postcard to myself. The photo quality is not amazing, but good enough (might be due to the camera quality or upload restrictions) and the postcard arrived within a few days. Now, the application itself works but needs some improvement. there is an address book option, but it didn't connect to my internal address book on my iphone and i had to type in the address individually and save the address locally. also, during the whole process, there is no way to save the postcard, which is really bad (don't press edit and then go to the photo, your address details and the message will be gone after that!). then, the upload of the card takes for ever (but it happens at some point). over all, knowing all that you can use the application still for sending your cards, but it's a bit frustrating and time consuming if you have to type in things repeatedly because it got lost and needs a few minutes for upload. dear developer, update this application, i think it's a great idea, but make it easier to use, please!
Amazing!

I love this app!!! It's amazing how you can send REAL postcards right from your iPhone or iPod touch. Took about a week to get delivered, a relatively short time. I love it!

Not intuitive to use at all. Not many options. There are better options out there...
Great concept, looking forward to version 2.

This is a very clever application. The interface is simple, but I was concerned the first time I used it that the loud graphics surrounding my photo would show up on the postcard. I was surprised that I had to manually type in the addresses, instead of being able to select a reciepient from my iPhone contacts. Apparently there is an option to create an address book on the Hazel Mail site, but this seems unnecessarily complicated when I have all of my contacts on my iPhone. The upload also seemed rather slow, given that I was on the 3G network when I tested it, but this may not be specific to this application. Keep up the good work - looking forward to the next version.

I wasn't sure what to expect with this app but decided to give it a try, and I'm glad I did! It makes it super easy to choose a picture from your iPhone photo library or directly from the camera and create a great postcard from it. Sweet!
Brilliant idea!

While I only had one free credit, i found this app to be one of a kind. It was very simple to just take a picture and create the postcard. It was all perfect, except the photo quality was a little low (due to the iPhone and not the app), and it took about 8 days to get to where I sent it (I don't know if this can be helped). Other than that I would recommend it to anyone looking to create postcards.
So easy
