You'll find plenty of free demos and pay-as-you-go freemium games on the App Store, but here are a few full games marked down to free just to attract more downloads. These games may also have paid options, but you'll get a lot of quality entertainment just for your time. Better grab them quick, though-- there's no telling when they'll raise the price. Beat Hazard Ultra Beat Hazard Ultra is an arcade shooter in the style of Geometry Wars, with a great added twist: You can use your own mp3 playlist to generate levels. Based on the style and tempo, you can get more waves of enemies, or different power-ups and perks. This unique, visually dazzling game should not be missed. Zombie games may not be all the rage right now with gamers, since we've been relentlessly bombarded with them over the past few years, but that might change again with Extraction: Project Outbreak [$0.99], the latest game published by Chillingo and developed by ShortRound Games. A top-down shooter with loads of unlockables, a well done control scheme, and great visuals, Extraction looks to offer something for nearly everyone, as long as you can get past a mild case of monotony in the later levels. + Universal App $0.99 Our Review By Jason Wadsworth on November 18th, 2011 Rating: :: SUPERB No confusing controls, no gimmicks, just zombie hunting pure and simple. Developer: Price: $0.99 Version Reviewed: 1.0 Device Reviewed On: iPhone 3GS Graphics / Sound Rating: Game Controls Rating: Gameplay Rating: Replay Value Rating: Overall Rating: When the streets are filled with zombies, fumbling with awkward controls will often make a player easy prey for the shambling masses. There have been lots of zombie and shooting games with great gameplay, and there have been some with clever control schemes. There are even some with oversimplified controls to make them more accessible on the iOS platform. There are, however, a few games here and there that take the best of the shooter genre and combine it with elegantly simple touch controls. Extraction: Project Outbreak is one of these rare titles. Most shooters are a complex mesh

Believe it or not, we are getting into the start of the holiday season, and that means tons of action on the App Store as people head over to buy apps for their new devices. There are a bunch of exciting new apps to check out today, so here's a quick list: Man, that's a whole lot of great games! This isn't even all of the app releases out this week, and my guess is that we haven't even seen the biggest flood of new apps -- that usually comes around Thanksgiving, and then ramps up again right as Apple freezes the store before Christmas. It's going to be a busy holiday season in iOS gaming for sure.

Whoa, it's Wednesday again. Unfortunately, Brad is still lost to the world of Skyrim, I'm standing on top of a mountain of bodies in MW3, and Jared is, I don't know, watching a Giants game or something. Regardless, we're pulling it all together for this week's pile of game releases. There's some great games out this week too, including a few highly anticipated titles as well as a few surprises… And even some highly anticipated titles we were surprised to see released so soon. Like all weeks, all of these games will be available in the USA at 11:00 PM Eastern, but if you're east of us, chances are they're already released.
