WHAT MAKES DOODLE BUDDY SO SPECIAL?
* Funny sounds paired with stamps are a blast!
* Doodle and stamp all over pics from your Photo Album (or take a pic with your iPhone’s camera)
* Draw with other iPhone or iPod touch users via the Internet
* Text chat back and forth with your drawing buddy
* Play hangman, tic-tac-toe and more!
WHO CAN I DRAW WITH?
You can draw with anyone that has any version of Doodle Buddy. Invite any friend with an iPhone or iPod touch via email or text message. We’ll send them a link to either connect with you or get Doodle Buddy if they don’t have it yet - just make sure you’re both on the Internet (via WiFi or 3G).
WHAT IF I SUCK AT DRAWING?
You don’t need to be good at drawing to have fun with Doodle Buddy! If you mess up, you can always undo your last stroke. To start over, simply shake your device.
Send your best doodles to doodles@pinger.com and we’ll share our faves.

I have been asked now, several times, what the application was I used to write on my iPhone 4 screenshot with in the AirPlay tutorial. So I figured instead of individual replies, I’d share this neat little App Store application with the masses. Definitely don’t let the cuddly name fool you, Doodle Buddy is quite a powerful little tool. Having used several drawing applications in the past on my iPhone, I believe Doodle Buddy to be one of the best. The application is completely free, and it can be downloaded here, in Apple’s App Store. Well what makes this doodling app better than all the others? Although it has a nice, simple interface, the extra features are really what makes this one shine. These extras allow you to do things like partner doodling over a wireless connection…. With Doodle Buddy’s ‘Pinger’ feature, you are able to connect with a friend via the

by We’ve all run into someone with a new iPhone. And we’ve all learned to expect the inevitable “watch this” moment involved in this encounter. Whether they identify the background music with Shazam, pull up a fancy screen saver, or fire up a classic PC game, it’s easy for even the most loyal BlackBerry owner to feel a slight pang of jealousy while witnessing these demonstrations. The iPhone is so shiny, so trendy, and it does so many cool tricks. It’s better to cope with these feelings than to admit them. There’s no need to give up your BlackBerry. The following six iPhone tricks can be accomplished by BlackBerry Apps (and by the way, Shazam makes a BlackBerry app, too). crunchSMS changes BlackBerry text messages to an iPhone-like speech bubble format. All you need to do is block incoming text messages from your regular inbox, and you can use the app

First, let’s admit that the smell of freshly peeled crayon rubbed on construction paper can never be replaced by any form of technology. That said, it is equally fair to admit that children are figuring out just how much fun it is to color, paint and scribble with an iPad. Publishers have responded. Search on the word “coloring” in the App Store from Apple and, as of early this week, there were 28 iPad coloring books, joining the 144 for the iPhone/iPod Touch. And as you might expect, quality varies. Here’s a closer look. For ages 2 to 3, there’s Chalkboard Pro for iPad ($0.99, Gabe Jacobs Productions). With nothing more than four sticks of colored chalk and an eraser, it turns your iPad screen into an empty blackboard. Your toddler can fill up the screen, and then empty it, as many times as he or she likes. Equally easy to

With the iPad's arrival this weekend, a holiday weekend for many Americans, this new iPad owner had the chance to see the device in action. In fact, "see" is the operative word here. Not, "play with myself," as is the case with most new tech gadgets I purchase. Instead, I simply watched from a distance as, over the course of the day, the iPad found its way into the hands of nearly every family member from ages 4 months to 87 years old. The incredible thing? No one walked away confused, frustrated or disappointed. It did precisely what they wanted it to do and with such ease that my tech support was not required - not even once - allowing me to sit back and relax...with an old-fashioned, paper-based magazine. After hearing the hoopla from the iPad launch, the crowd of "not-so-early" adopters has likely been left wondering if this is

This is Free Reign #10, ladies and gentlemen. We’re gathered here today on this page to celebrate a decade of the finest free apps coverage known to man. Okay, so it’s really more like three months (we skipped at least two weekends), but “hurray number #10″ all the same. This week’s selected free apps are: By the way, if you’ve got any useful free apps that you think are interesting and would like us to cover, tell us so in the comments. MemorySweep Concept: A quick and easy way to free up some system memory without rebooting. Strengths: Open the app, choose to free up to 15 or 30 MB, and then do a little dance. Non-strengths: Only frees a max of 30 MB. Can’t scroll past advertisement. Overall: The thing about MemorySweep is that it’s a free memory clearer, and Apple has been on the hunt for these apps, so

You don't need Twitter to keep tabs on the latest newly free iPhone applications. To paraphrase the old Sara Lee commercial, nobody doesn't like free apps. Good luck trying to find them, though. Sure, the App Store lists the top freebies in each software category, but what about the apps that have just been price-reduced to $0? iTunes offers no way to find them. However, FreeAppAlert does find them for you. The site catalogs all iPhone apps that previously cost money but are now free (either temporarily or permanently). But what if you're not a Twitter user? Bookmark FreeAppAlert, which lists each newly free app along with its former price tag and one or more thumbnail screenshots. What's great is that when you mouse over a thumbnail, the full-size version appears immediately. That beats clicking all the way through to the App Store just to see what an app looks like.

The main thing I love about this app is how you can "smear" the colors. You can seriously make the coolest looking stuff, I use my artwork as my backgrounds!!!

This free app is a lot of fun. It allows you to collaboratively draw a picture and add messages. The picture is kept on the hosting iPhone/iPod, but both have to agree before anything gets erased. My daughter likes to screen capture the images before erasing, and they all end up in her iPod film roll. There are several fun backgrounds, ability to change chalk colors and thicknesses, an eraser tool and a smearing tool. The stamps section has fun sound effects. The change made by one person shows up immediately on the other person's screen. There is even a tic tac toe background that is kind of fun. This is a great app! The only major improvement I can think of would be if you could invite someone that was not currently running their copy of the Doodle Buddy app to get them to turn on their app. Minor suggestions include if you could get three people to collaborate and additional backgrounds such as hangman.
Cool

Version: 1.1
Zpzohgf, do you think youre scaring the developers with your idiotic childish threats? Maybe if your dad was a competent lawyer he would bother to read the terms of service, stating that you are resonsible for what you purchase.
I'm sure the developers are laughing as they read your threat...what are you, 12?
Keep daddies @@@@ in your mouth, it'll stop you from saying anything stupid and laughably pathetic.
By the way, cool app.
Fun but

To all of you complaining about not being able to play with someone else...
I Love Acorns :)
Version: 1.1
Yes, you can doodle with someone else on this app that isn't in your wifi network. Yeah, it isn't an easy way or good way, but it is possible and I did it many times last night. (that's what she said)
First, you enter an email address in to the invitation and send it. STAY ON THE APP. DO NOT PRESS THE HOME BUTTON AS IT WILL NOT WORK. Wait for your friend to get the email and click on the link in the message. This is the only way to get your friend to doodle with you, your friend MUST click on the link. It will take him/her to the app and voilà, you guys will be playing together. I did this yesterday with my boyfriend who was about 2 hours away at the time and it worked just fine. A little hard to figure out in the beginning, but I thought I should inform all the people who got this app and don't know how to connect to another person. Very fun and cute app, better than scribble lite :)
Mm

Great App
ILoveIt!!
Version: 1.1
It's a good way to pass the time when your bored. Me and my friend use it a lot at sleepovers! And a cool thing to do is to put a single dot of one color in the center, and use the smear tool to try to cover the whole board. It also breaks down the color, which looks really cool too!
Update
Zpzohgf
Version: 1.1
I will sue you if you dont update my dad is a lawyer! make it so that u can draw without being on the same network and send invites to other ipod users it is boring doodilimg by myself

Version: 1.00
Waste of money. Same as the free app. Limited to sharing with people in your immediate wifi network. Cant play with my sis :(
Good app, wish it wasn't restricted to your wifi network
masterlockstfu12
Version: 1.00
This app is pretty well thought out. I think the interface is fun and is unique, although I would like to see this not restricted to your wifi network so that you can use the app with more than just the people in your wifi network
Overall, it is a good app, but should be opened up to more than just your wifi network

Wow you guys screwed this app up with getting a good review from me.
I expected this to be awesome to where you could talk to people all over the country! My friend and I both got this thinking we could connect to each other from other wifi but nope.
If you make it so we can it'll be 5 stars. But for now 2 stars.

Redstarfish

Star 1
Version: 1.00
This was the worst cheap thing I not u just waste 3$
MUST BE ON THE SAME NETWORK....??
Bballm152
Version: 1.00
Please let people know that both users have to be on the SAME network.
“WHY SHOULD I UPGRADE TO THE PAID VERSION?
With the paid version, you’ll be able to invite ANYONE using ChalkTalk or ChalkTalk Lite to draw with you. Plus, if you’re really proud of your creation, you can save it to your Photos in order to send it to friends.” ANYONE is a little misleading. My younger brother in San Jose is struggling with math, and I, in Santa Barbara, thought we could use this app to help go over some problems together. Obviously, this did not work, so now we just wasted $3 each on an app that we won’t be able to use. If it is possible to refund us both, I would appreciate it. Thank you.
I didn't know u had to be in the same wifi network!!!!!
AbloopT
Version: 1.00
This should be updated so it doesn't hve to be in the same wifi network! Plz! :P
What!?
Reed B
Version: 1.00
When you connect to someone it says draw by yourself first how long??
Wrong impresion
KashmirKulturedotcom
Version: 1.00
I got the impression you would be able send these to wireless numbers over wifi. That is not the case. Not worth $2.99. Maybe $.99.
Fun App!
GMaxWingo
Version: 1.00
Cool app, nice features worth the price.
This is FUN! Really FUN!
Chickie1010
